K-12 Education

Inclusive education means that students have access to educational and extracurricular activities alongside their peers without disabilities and have supports that enable full participation. Inclusive education is important because it provides positive social relationships and friendships as well as models of appropriate academic behavior. Inclusive education leads to greater understanding of the perspectives and talents of fellow students and improved academic outcomes for everyone. This section of the Inclusion Florida web site provides resources, information, and ideas for inclusive education.
